U.S. to allocate medical, humanitarian aid for Ukraine to help fight COVID-19

The money will be distributed to the world's most at-risk countries starting April 3.



Amid the COVID-19 spread, the United States will provide Ukraine with medical and humanitarian aid worth over US$12 million, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv reported Saturday, March 28.

The assistance will be aimed at preparing lab systems, diagnosing the disease, providing technical support in response issues and informing the public about the risks of the COVID-19 spread, the report says.

The money will be distributed to the world's most at-risk countries starting April 3.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases across the U.S. as of Friday, March 27, amounted to over 100,000, with 1,544 lethal cases and 862 recoveries.
