The film Numbers was directed remotely and it is unique for Ukrainian film industry. Akhtem Seitablaev became the co-director of the movie. During the work on the movie, Sentsov was kept in the strict regime colony in the north of Russia and Seitablaev and producer Anna Palenchuk implemented his idea. Oleg and Akhtem discussed the working process in the letters; according to Anna, there were more than hundred of them.

The text of Numbers play was written by Oleg Sentsov before the imprisonment, in 2011. In 2018, the stage performance was created on the basis of the play.

Ten heroes got used to turn around in circles and do everything in accordance with the book of Rules. They have no possibility to choose how to live and whom to love. But the life changes with the coming of a new citizen who does not know the current rules. It violates the calm of the passive power. Suddenly, the abiding faith of Numbers falls into pieces. They want to decide their faith on their own, get the names and create the new world with the ruling of their rules. The numbers refuse from the old regime but whether the new one will be better?
