Kravchuk undergoes heart surgery - media

Ukraine's first president, Leonid Kravchuk, has undergone heart surgery, spokesperson for the Trilateral Contact Group Oleksiy Arestovych has told the TSN television news service.

According to Arestovych, the operation was planned and passed without any problems. It is for this reason that Kravchuk skipped the celebration of Constitution Day in the Verkhovna Rada.

Now the first president is in the hospital ward and is recovering from surgery.

According to the report, before the operation, Kravchuk asked Arestovych not to talk about his health.

Kravchuk underwent coronary stenting in 2017, the report said.
