German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas says he will try to negotiate with his colleagues from France, Ukraine, and Russia on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on holding the next Normandy Four Summit in Berlin.

"Germany and France have for many years been searching for a peaceful solution for Ukraine. In the past few months we have revived the Minsk process, including with the help of the new Ukrainian president," Maas told reporters Friday, according to European Pravda.

Maas noted that the countries should work together on a common European security structure and be prepared to abandon the logic of geopolitical influence.

"We will talk about this here in Munich with colleagues from Paris, Moscow and Kyiv in order to lay the foundations for the next Normandy format summit to be held in Berlin," the top diplomat added.
