During the day, the Russians launched 64 strikes on the territory of Sumy region, northern Ukraine.
"Four communities came under enemy fire. In particular, the Russian troops struck Yunakivka community with 120mm mortars. Thirty-five shells exploded on the outskirts of the border village. There were no casualties," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
The enemy artillery was fired on Nova Sloboda community, five explosions were recorded. Seven private houses of local residents, outbuildings, and a power line were damaged.
The Russian army shelled Velyka Pysarivka community twice a day. Twenty-four 120mm enemy shells exploded in the border area. No casualties and destructions were reported.
The enemy opened fire from a machine gun on the territory of Shalyhine community.
