OHCHR said that in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as of midnight March 16, there were 143 (134) dead and 463 (448) injured in government-controlled territory, and 43 (39) dead and 131 (130) injured in territory controlled by self-proclaimed "republics."
In other regions of Ukraine under government control (Kyiv, as well as in Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions), the UN recorded 518 (518) killed and 580 (565) wounded.
OHCHR notes the report of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, according to which as of 10 a.m. (local time) 16 March, 103 (97) children had been killed and more than 100 injured.
