Russian President Putin's call for additional Russian military forces in Ukraine reflects Russia's problems on the battlefield.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"President Putin's call for additional Russian military forces in Ukraine reflects Russia's struggles on the battlefield and the fact that President Putin is operating from a position of weakness, not strength," the tweet reads.
Russia's full-scale military aggression in Ukraine has been ongoing since February 24. Ukraine's defense forces are fiercely resisting the Russian invaders. On September 21, after declaring a partial mobilization in Russia, President Putin again threatened Western countries with the use of nuclear weapons.
