Reznikov, Mūrniece discuss ways to increase Ukrainian Army’s capabilities.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has met with Latvia’s newly appointed Defense Minister Ināra Mūrniece, who arrived on her first visit to Kyiv.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Was glad to host Ināra Mūrniece in Kyiv on her first visit as Latvia’s Defence Minister,” Reznikov wrote.
In his words, the parties discussed ways to increase the capabilities of the Ukrainian Army.
“We are grateful for Latvia’s strong commitment to support Ukraine’s full victory over the aggressor,” Reznikov added.
A reminder that Defense Minister of the Republic of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece noted that the possibility of providing a new military aid package to Ukraine, including the Stinger air defense systems, is being considered.
