President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová assured her country supports Ukraine's position concerning Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline during her meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk. The press office of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that.

During the meeting, Honcharuk told about priorities of the Cabinet for the next few years among which was promotion of competition in the energy market.

"We will be glad if Slovakian companies will become a part of this and other Ukrainian markets. Slovakia is our good neighbor with which we have got the common history," Honharuk noted.

For its part, the state leader of Slovakia said her country supports Ukraine in the international area.

"Slovakia supports the position, which Ukraine takes concerning Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline of the Russian Federation as well as its intentions to join the European Union and NATO," Čaputová emphasized.

The Prime Minister also told about the government's plans relating to the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.

"The Cabinet of Ministers is going to restore infrastructure of the country, reform the railroad and change the rules of internal rivers usage. The last thing will allow to update the transport system within the country," he said.
