Kuleba, Cavusoglu hold talks: Turkey ready to consider possibility of becoming guarantor of Ukraine's security in future.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is visiting Ukraine, the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.

Kuleba briefed his Turkish colleague on the defense of Ukraine from full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, condemned the numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Russian army in Ukraine, and noted the inevitability of responsibility for them. The minister also expressed gratitude to Cavusoglu for Turkey's unwavering solidarity with Ukraine, practical political and humanitarian support, and readiness to consider becoming one of the guarantor states of Ukraine's security in the future.

Cavusoglu, in turn, informed Kuleba about his visit to Moscow on March 16. He stressed Ankara's readiness to continue mediation efforts to end Russia's war against Ukraine.

"Our state highly appreciates the diplomatic efforts of Turkey to force the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression and withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine. I am ready to continue the dialogue in the format of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Turkey and Russia, if Russia is determined to have a serious dialogue for the sake of concrete results," Dmytro Kuleba said.

He recalled that the Ukrainian side insists on the immediate ceasefire and the opening of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of food.

The Minister also expressed gratitude to the President of Turkey for the proposal to organize a meeting between Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Kuleba expressed special gratitude to Turkey for providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian citizens who suffered from Russian aggression.
