Ukraine’s Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky has met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the ministry’s press service.
It is noted that the sides discussed further cooperation in the context of national security and defense.
In particular, the U.S. delegation was familiarized with the current situation in Ukraine, the needs of the ministry’s various services involved in humanitarian demining of territories liberated from the Russian invaders.
As reported by Ukrinform, Interior Minister Monastyrsky earlier said that it takes up to one month to demine one medium-sized settlement in Ukraine.
