Shmyhal told representatives of US Congress about Ukraine’s needs to restore economy.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal told representatives of the U.S. Congress about Ukraine’s urgent needs to restore its economy during the war.
“Addressed the members of the U.S. Congress today. Told about urgent needs to restore Ukrainian economy during this terrible war. Ukraine highly appreciates the tremendous assistance of the USA!” Shmyhal wrote on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
He also noted that further support for Ukraine and sanctions pressure on Russia would help stop the aggressor country.
Earlier, Shmyhal stated that the world community must find a solution to help rebuild Ukraine at the expense of frozen Russian assets and subsequently make it the standard for the future.
On February 24, Russia launched a new phase of its eight-year war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
