Russian TV presenter banned from entering Ukraine

A news anchor of the Russian TV channel RBC has been banned from entering Ukraine for three years, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service has reported.

According to the report, on Sunday, November 29, in Odesa region, Ukrainian border guards stopped a Moldovan citizen who was traveling to Ukraine by bus and planned to transit to Russia. She crossed the Ukrainian border at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi checkpoint.

It turned out during passport control and an additional check that the 39-year-old woman works as a news anchor on the Russian TV channel RBC and previously worked on a number of other channels.

In the summer of 2018, this person visited the Crimean peninsula in violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. It entered Crimea from the Russian Federation.

For such actions, the foreigner was refused to cross the border and was banned from entering Ukraine for three years. She was sent back to Moldova.

On November 19, Russian actor Kirill Grebenshchikov was banned from entering Ukraine for three years for illegally visiting Russian-occupied Crimea.
