Russian troops struck Sumy Region 164 times over past day.
Over the past day, Russian troops have opened fire on 13 settlements in Sumy Region. The police are now documenting the effects.
The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“On August 10, 2022, Russia opened fire on Sumy District, Konotop District and Shostka District. A total of 164 strikes were recorded. The enemy shelled such settlements as Vorozhba, Bilopillia, Hrabovske, Riasne, Mezenivka, Slavhorod, Radkivka, Iskrykivshchyna, Bezsalivka, Pavlivka, Brusky, Buniakyne and Chernatske,” the report states.
According to the preliminary data, Russian invaders used mortars, the Grad multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery and self-propelled artillery systems. As a result, five households, a car and gas pipeline were damaged.
The police opened criminal proceedings in accordance with Part 1 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
