Ukraine, Ghana plan to set up logistics hub for foodstuffs.

Ukraine and Ghana are considering the possibility of implementing a joint project on the construction of logistics hub for food storage.

This was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi and Minister of Food and Agriculture of Ghana Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

The parties discussed the issue of starting a joint project: the construction of a logistics hub for food storage. Such a hub will make it possible to store high-quality grain, contribute to the predictability of sales, and stabilize food prices.

The meeting participants agreed to consider in more detail the possibility of implementing a joint Ukrainian-African project in the field of logistics cooperation.

The ministers also discussed deepening agriculture cooperation and expanding international trade and economic relations.

The Republic of Ghana is the third country visited by the delegation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as part of the official tour of African countries.

As reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine signed a memorandum on agriculture cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure, and Food Sovereignty of the Republic of Senegal during the delegation’s visit to the Republic of Senegal.

Ukraine will also consider the proposal of Nigeria to build a logistics hub for grain and food supplies.
