Four civilians injured in Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv last night.

Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal proceeding over Russia’s rocket attack on the city of Kharkiv, leaving four civilians injured, and apartment blocks and cars damaged.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Under the procedural guidance of Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in the city of Kharkiv, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of laws and customs of war (Part 1 Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the report states.

Around 09:55 p.m., August 4, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on a residential area of Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District, reportedly with the Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).

Two men and two women were injured in the street. Many residential apartment blocks and cars were damaged. Investigative actions are underway.

A reminder that last night Russian troops struck three districts of Kharkiv and Chuhuiv with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Two men, 26 and 38, and a 46-year-old woman were injured and taken to hospital in Kharkiv.
