Forty-eight localities in JFO area come under enemy fire.
Over the past 24 hours, 48 populated localities in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine came under enemy fire.
"Over the past 24 hours, May 16, Russian war criminals fired on 48 localities in eastern Ukraine. Avdiivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, and several settlements of Sievierodonetsk district suffered barbaric air and missile strikes. Bastards kill children, women, the elderly and destroy Ukrainian towns and villages," the press service of the Joint Forces Operation posted on Facebook.
As noted, 22 civilians were killed in the shelling in Lyman, Drobyshevo, Avdiivka, Klynove, Marinka, Toretsk, Soledar. At least 11 civilians were injured.
The enemy also damaged and destroyed 65 houses. A total of 78 civilian objects were affected.
Over the past day, rescuers evacuated 587 people.
As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 27,900 Russian troops from February 24 to May 17.
