Starting from March 1, 2020, Ukrainians will need the foreign passports to cross the border with the Russian Federation. However, Ukrainians who return to Ukraine will not need it as Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk reported on Telegram.

“From March 1, 2020, the crossing of the border with Russia will take place on the basis of the foreign passport but only for citizens of Ukraine, coming from Ukraine to Russia,” the message said.

The time of passing of the border guard control is reduced. The special equipment reads the information from the foreign passports.

“During the coming of the citizens of Ukraine from the territory of Russia to the territory of Ukraine, the State Border Guard of Ukraine will hold the unhindered pass of the citizens of Ukraine on inner passports and birth certificates,” Honcharuk said.

As we reported, the Cabinet of Ministers may cancel the possibility of crossing of the state border with Russia on internal passport and birth certificate for Ukrainians from March 1, 2020.
