Chairman of Donetsk Regional Military and Civilian Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky said this at a meeting in Kramatorsk on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Today the most important issue is to provide the region's residents with drinking water," Zhebrivsky said.
He has stressed that now it is necessary to work on the issue of establishing a ceasefire for the restoration of destroyed networks. The head of the region has instructed the structural units, city and district leaders to use all their forces, units of the State Emergency Service, international organizations in order to provide the residents of settlements with technical and drinking water and carry out a constant water supply.
Zhebrivsky has stressed that he keeps this issue under personal control.
