"MEP Rebecca Harms is going to visit Ukraine before a decisive vote in the Ukrainian parliament on necessary anti-corruption legislation," the report reads.
The visit is scheduled for the period from January 11 to 15.
In Ukraine, Harms will discuss problems and progress in the fight against corruption with Deputy Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, colleagues in the Verkhovna Rada, Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Artem Sytnyk, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, anti-corruption activists and representatives of civil society.
In addition, Rebecca Harms will hold meetings to discuss the situation in Donbas and prospects for the deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission to the east of Ukraine.
