"The Presidential Administration has got no leverage over NACP. Anna Solomatina's statements should be assessed in the context of her working and personal relations with the NACP leadership," the presidential administration Tuesday told the news agency responding to the relevant request.
The press service of the Presidential Administration also says that Ukrainian President Poroshenko counts on the effective work of the newly created law enforcement agencies and "considers completely unacceptable the information war that has recently escalated between these agencies and has been detrimental to the public interest."
Earlier on Nov. 14, Head of the Financial Control Department of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP) Anna Solomatina said that some results of screening of the asset and income statements filed by officials had been forged. She also requested to initiate a probe into illegal actions of the agency employees and suspend NACP Chairwoman Korchak pending investigation. Solomatina said NACP had never been an independent body but always followed orders of the government officials.
