He told the parliament at questions hour commenting on the information about the attempted illegal seizure of a farming enterprise in the Poltava region, the parliamentary correspondent for Censor.NET reports.
"I think we share this view with the interior minister. I want to stress that our government and the National Police have only one response to those involved in raider attacks - forcible seizures of someone else's assets. It is called 'lay facedown, hands behind your head.' Therefore, I'd like to call on all the country's law enforcement - the National Police chief and interior minister share the same view - to instantly arrest and hold accountable the perpetrators involved in forcible seizure of someone's property in any part of Ukraine. This is a top-priority issue. I would ask that we fully support the legitimate actions of the National Police," the PM said.
In turn, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said that the agency was checking the civil-law notary from the Poltava region who was allegedly involved in the mentioned asset-grabbing.
"I'd like to say that thanks to the fact that the parliament has approved the anti-raiding law, that provides for up to 10 years in prison for such offense, this person has every chance to have a talk with the law enforcement as a suspect in aiding and abetting the crime," the minister said and promised that all findings would be submitted to the law enforcement agencies.
