Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Spokesman for ATO issues Dmytro Hutsuliak said this at a briefing on Saturday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, one soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was killed as a result of the enemy shelling yesterday. We express our condolences to the relatives, friends and comrades of the deceased soldier. This is the third loss since the beginning of the announced ceasefire agreements," he said.
In addition, as a result of the enemy fire, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded. He was taken to a military mobile hospital and received the necessary amount of medical aid.
Russian-backed militants launched three attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas over the past day.
