Poland bans entry to President of Ukraine’s National Remembrance Institute Viatrovych, - Polish media

Polish news outlet Dziennik Gazeta Prawna said citing sources familiar with the matter, Censor.NET reports referring to Interfax-Ukraine.

The news outlet recalls Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski's recent statement on a list of Ukrainians which will be banned from entering Poland. "We are currently launching procedures that will not allow people sharing extremely anti-Polish views to enter Poland," the minister said on air of TVP. Polish FM was talking about people demonstratively wearing SS Halychyna uniforms, those who used official levers to block the exhumation and renovation of Polish burial sites, those who use official leverage for this.

However, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna says Poland will not make this list public and the designated persons will be informed about the entry ban against them only at the border.

Sviatoslav Sheremet, Secretary of the State Commission for the Commemoration of Victims of War and Political Repressions, who, according to the news outlet, made a decision last summer to ban the exhumation of burial sites in Kostiukhnivka village (the Volyn region) carried out within research of the Polish National Memory Institute looking for Polish legionnaires deceased in 1915-1916.
