Russian-occupation forces failed to fundamentally reduce the number of shellings of our positions, at the same time receiving an asymmetric response from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the ATO HQ wrote.
Last night, in the Prymorske direction, militants fired on the Ukrainian positions near Vodiane from rocket-propelled grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, receiving a harsh response. As a result of fire exchange, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one wounded. In addition, militants overnight used a 120-mm mortar in the area of Novotroyitske.
Militants continue to use mortars of various calibers in Donbas – ATO HQIn the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian strongholds in Opytne came under the enemy fire from grenade launchers. The Butivka coal mine was hit from weapons installed on an infantry fighting vehicle.
"Most attacks over the past day have been recorded in the Luhansk direction. In the evening, the enemy fired machine guns two times near Krymske. The gangs used 82mm mortars to shell our fighters near Novotoshkivske, Novo-oleksandrivka, and Katerynivka. Also, the militants are actively used mortars of various calibers in the area of Troyitske," the report says.
"In general, over the past day, illegal armed groups violated ceasefire 17 times. One Ukrainian soldier was killed, two wounded, and another six suffered combat injuries," the headquarters wrote.
Also, according to the operational information of the headquarters, protest moods are growing among the residents of settlements located in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where the garrisons of the Russian occupation forces are stationed.
"Abusing their authority, garrison chiefs illegally issue ownership papers for houses of those who have left their homes since the beginning of the Russian military aggression.
