Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin reported this on Twitter.
"After the UAE, we are working on visa-free travel with Kuwait and Qatar and on the simplification of the visa regime with Saudi Arabia. We will soon open almost the whole of the [Persian] Gulf to Ukrainians," the statement reads.
As reported, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates agreed on visa-free travel following talks held on November 2 between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and UAE Prime Minister and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. During the visit by the head of state, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual abolition of visa requirements.
During Poroshenko's visit to Saudi Arabia on November 1, the sides agreed on visa facilitation and the Hajj (pilgrimage) procedures for holy cities of Islam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
